In a Hurry? Here’s the Short Version
DeLuxBrow Nano Hairstrokes are a machine-based brow technique that creates ultra-fine, hair-like strokes for a very natural look. They can work beautifully on many skin types, including slightly oilier or more delicate skin where classic microblading may not heal as well. Results usually last 12–24 months and include a perfecting touch-up. If your brows have strong old tattooing or you prefer a softly shaded makeup look, Ombre brows may still be the better option – we’ll always advise honestly for your skin.

What Nano Hairstrokes Actually Are and Why We Offer the Best Nano Brows in London?
Nano Hairstrokes, Nanoblading or Nano Brows are a form of semi-permanent makeup for the eyebrows, created with a digital machine and an ultra-fine needle. Instead of a manual blade, we use controlled machine movements to implant pigment in very fine strokes that mimic natural brow hairs.
At Brow Master London in Notting Hill, every Nano brow design is mapped to your bone structure and tailored to your facial features. We select pigments based on your skin undertone and natural hair colour, and we focus on how your Nano brows will heal in 6–8 weeks, not just how they look on treatment day.
DeLuxBrow is Anna Nguyen’s signature approach to Nano Hairstrokes which won the 1st Place in the UK WULOP Championship 2025 — focused on ultra-fine stroke patterns, careful mapping, and a soft healed finish. It’s designed for clients who want “my brows but better” hyperrealism, not a heavy tattoo look. DeLuxBrow is also sometimes referred to as nano blading or nanoblading — different names for the same machine-based hairstroke technique, performed here at competition-winning level.
If you’re unsure whether Nano or microblading is better for you, you can read our Microblading in London page or book a consultation so we can assess your brows in person.
Nano brows are ideal if you:
-
Want very natural, hair-like brows with ultra-fine strokes
-
Have brows that are sparse, patchy or asymmetrical
-
Prefer a soft “my brows but better” look rather than a strong makeup brow
-
Have slightly oilier, delicate or more mature skin where microblading can be less stable
Nano hairstrokes can be a great option for clients whose skin is not ideal for classic microblading – for example, slightly oily skin, thin or more mature skin, or skin that marks easily. They can also be helpful if you have very fine natural brow hairs and want the tattooed strokes to blend seamlessly.
If you have very oily skin, very strong old tattooing or a preference for a more shaded makeup look, we may still recommend Ombre or a hybrid technique instead. A short consultation is the best way for us to look at your skin and explain which approach is most likely to heal well for you.

Who Nano Hairstrokes Work Best For?
Microblading vs Nano Hairstrokes vs Ombre Brows
Nano hairstrokes
Nano brows are created with a digital machine and an ultra-fine needle. This allows precise control, very delicate strokes and can be more suitable for slightly oilier, delicate or mature skin. Strokes often look extremely refined and consistent once healed.
Microblading
Microblading uses a manual hand tool with a fine blade to create hair-like strokes in the top layers of the skin. It can work beautifully for normal to slightly dry skin and is a good option if you want a soft, natural brow and have relatively good skin quality.
Ombre / powder brows
Ombre or powder brows use gentle shading to create a soft makeup effect, like brow powder or pencil. They’re often recommended if you have oily or mature skin, wear makeup every day or need to blend or cover old brow tattooing.
In our Notting Hill studio we never force one label on everyone. We look at your skin, existing brows and lifestyle, then recommend Nano, microblading, Ombre or a tailored combination that will heal best on you.
Consultation & Design
We begin with a chat about your brow history, medical background and what sort of brow style you like. Then we carry out precise brow mapping so you can see and approve the proposed Nano shape before any pigment is used.
Colour & Numbing
We choose a pigment shade to harmonise with your skin undertone and natural hair colour. A topical numbing cream is applied and given time to work so that you stay as comfortable as possible during your Nano brows treatment.
Nano Hairstrokes Work
Using a digital machine and an ultra-fine needle, we create individual hairstrokes that follow your natural growth pattern and enhance your brow shape. We work slowly and carefully, checking in with you regularly to make sure you feel at ease.
Aftercare & Touch-Up
At the end we show you your new Nano brows, explain your aftercare step by step and book your perfecting touch-up, usually around 6–8 weeks later. Nano hairstrokes, like microblading, are a two-step process – the touch-up refines the healed result.
What Happens at a Nano Hairstrokes Appointment?
Healing, Aftercare and How Long Nano Brows Last
Right after treatment, your Nano brows will look more defined and darker than the final healed result. Over the following weeks the colour softens and the strokes become more natural.
-
Days 1–3: Brows look defined and darker; some redness may be present.
-
Days 4–7: Light flaking or peeling can occur – do not pick the skin.
-
Weeks 2–4: Brows may look a bit too light or patchy; this “ghosting” phase is normal.
-
Week 6+: Colour and strokes settle; your touch-up can fill any gaps or lighten/darken the brows slightly.
With proper aftercare and depending on your skin and lifestyle, Nano hairstrokes usually last around 12–24 months before a colour boost is recommended. Oily skin, sun exposure, active skincare ingredients and some cosmetic procedures can make pigment fade more quickly.
When performed on the right candidate by a trained professional, Nano hairstrokes are a safe and controlled brow treatment. At Brow Master London we take your safety seriously at every step:
-
Single-use, sterile needle cartridges and hygienic set-up
-
Licensed, clean studio environment in Notting Hill
-
Detailed medical history and patch test where appropriate
-
High-quality pigments from trusted brands
There are situations where we may advise against Nano brows or recommend an alternative, for example certain medical conditions, very compromised skin or heavy previous brow tattooing. If Nano hairstrokes are not the best option, we’ll explain why and suggest safer, more predictable alternatives.
Are Nano Hairstrokes Safe?
Using Nano Hairstrokes to Refresh or Correct Old Brows
If you already have old brow tattooing or faded microblading, Nano hairstrokes can sometimes be used to refresh and refine your brows – especially when the old pigment is light and well-faded.
In more complex cases, we might suggest a combination approach: for example, laser lightening to soften very dark pigment first, followed by Nano or a Nano + Ombre hybrid to rebuild a more flattering shape and colour.
For correction work we usually recommend a consultation first so we can see your brows in natural light, assess your skin and talk honestly about what is achievable and how many stages it might take.
Nano hairstrokes prices in London vary depending on the artist, experience and what’s included. At Brow Master London your Nano brows treatment includes the initial session plus a perfecting touch-up, because we care most about your healed result – not just one day-one photo.

How Much Do Nano Hairstrokes Cost in London?
Nano Hairstrokes FAQs
What is DeLuxBrow?
DeLuxBrow is the branded name for Anna Nguyen’s Nano Hairstrokes technique at Brow Master London. It’s still Nano Hairstrokes — just performed with Anna’s signature design style and stroke method for a refined, natural result.
How long does a Nano hairstrokes appointment take?
Allow around 2.5–3 hours for your first Nano brows appointment. This includes consultation, brow mapping, numbing and the Nano hairstrokes work itself.
Does Nano brows treatment hurt?
Most clients describe Nano brows as mildly uncomfortable rather than painful. We use numbing cream and work gently, checking in with you regularly to keep you as comfortable as possible.
How long do Nano hairstrokes last?
Typically Nano brows last around 12–24 months, depending on your skin type, lifestyle and aftercare. A colour boost every so often keeps your brows looking fresh.
Am I suitable for Nano brows?
The best way to know is to book a consultation. We’ll assess your skin, existing brows and medical history and then recommend Nano hairstrokes, microblading, Ombre or another approach that we believe will heal best on you.
Is nano blading better than microblading?
Neither technique is universally better — it depends on your skin type, lifestyle and the look you want. Nano hairstrokes tend to be more versatile because the machine offers finer control and works on a wider range of skin types, including slightly oily or mature skin. Microblading can be an equally beautiful option for the right candidate. At Brow Master London we offer both and will recommend whichever is more likely to heal well on your specific skin — there's no pressure to choose one before we've looked at your brows in person.
Can I get Nano hairstrokes if I've previously had microblading?
Yes, in many cases. If your previous microblading has faded to a light, warm tone, Nano hairstrokes can be used to refresh and refine the result. If the old pigment is darker or has shifted to a cool or grey tone, we may suggest some laser lightening first to give the new work the best possible base. We'll always assess your existing pigment honestly before recommending a plan.
What is the "ghosting phase" and is it normal?
Yes, completely normal. Around weeks 2–4 after Nano hairstrokes, many clients notice their brows looking very light, patchy or almost invisible. This happens as the skin heals over the pigment. The colour resurfaces over the following weeks and the strokes become more defined again. This is exactly why the perfecting touch-up at 6–8 weeks is essential — it lets us refine the healed result and fill any gaps.
Can I get Nano brows if I have sparse brows due to over-plucking or alopecia?
Over-plucked or naturally sparse brows are one of the most common reasons clients come to us for Nano hairstrokes — the fine, hair-like strokes are particularly effective at creating the illusion of natural growth where little exists. For clients with alopecia or medical hair loss, we take a more detailed consultation approach to understand the skin condition and any relevant medical history before proceeding. Please get in touch before booking if this applies to you.
How soon can I wear makeup after Nano hairstrokes?
Avoid applying makeup directly to the brow area for at least 10–14 days while the skin heals. You can wear makeup elsewhere on your face as normal. After that, once the skin has fully healed, you can fill in around your Nano brows as you normally would — though most clients find they need far less product than before.
Do Nano hairstrokes look natural in person, not just in photos?
This is something Anna specifically focuses on with DeLuxBrow. Many brow results photograph beautifully but look heavy or artificial in real life. The DeLuxBrow approach prioritises a soft, natural healed result — strokes that blend with your real hairs, a shape that suits your bone structure, and a pigment shade that works in daylight, not just under studio lighting.
