Frequently Asked Questions
If you’re new to microblading or Nano hairstrokes, it’s completely normal to have lots of questions. On this page we’ve gathered the answers to the things our clients ask most often about brow treatments, safety, healing and bookings at Brow Master London in Notting Hill.
All brow treatments are carried out personally by Anna Nguyen, an architect-trained, multi-award-winning brow artist (WULOP UK Champion, WULOP semi-final judge and 1st place Master Machine Hair Strokes – Etalon Mix 2025).
Is microblading or Nano hairstroke brows safe?
We carry out a full consultation and health questionnaire before any treatment. Only high-quality pigments and sterile, single-use needles are used. As with any cosmetic tattoo, there are risks and not everyone is suitable, but we will always explain this clearly and will not treat you if we feel it is unsafe.
I already have a brow tattoo. Can you help?
Yes, many of our clients come to us with previous brow tattooing. In these cases we first assess the colour, saturation and shape, then advise whether correction, lightening or removal is needed before new work. You are welcome to send clear photos in natural light for an initial opinion.
What is the difference between microblading and Nano hairstrokes?
Microblading uses a manual hand tool to create fine hair-like strokes in the upper layers of the skin. Nano brows use a specialist machine and ultra-fine needles to create similar strokes with a slightly different technique. The best option depends on your skin type, existing brow hair and desired finish, which we discuss during your consultation.
Do you offer eyelash extensions, lips and eyeliner too?
Yes, we provide individual and Russian volume lash extensions, lip blush and dark lip correction, as well as various eyeliner styles from subtle lash enhancement to more defined looks. These treatments can be combined with brow services or booked separately.
How long do brow results last?
Most clients find their brows last around 12–24 months before they need a colour boost, but this varies with skin type, lifestyle and aftercare. Oily skin, frequent sun exposure and certain skincare products can cause pigment to fade more quickly.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
Please avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications before your treatment, and follow any specific instructions we send you in advance. We recommend arriving with no eye makeup for lash or eyeliner appointments, and with your usual brow makeup style removed for brow appointments so we can see your natural features clearly.
